Wood Duck Boxes

The Elkins Fish and Game Club performs maintenance on wood duck boxes at Cascade Brook in an effort to sustain, and hopefully increase, the wood duck population at our local area lakes and ponds. Each winter the boxes are checked to see which ones need repairs, and all the boxes are cleaned and refilled with new bedding.

Specifics

The Elkins Fish & Game Club will be going out on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at 9:00 AM to look at the club's boxes and perform the necessary maintenance. We will be gathering at the club's parking area at:
189 Pine Hill Road, Wilmot, NH.

Everyone is welcome to come along but children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

We will be going through woods and then out onto the ice at the marshy area of the brook, so warm clothes and waterproof footwear are recommended. If we have heavy snow before the event, snowshoes may be required as well.

Note: Due to weather or ice conditions, this event may be cancelled!
